We ventured to the pool a couple of Friday's ago for our first pool playdate of the summer season. It was a little bit of a juggling act to monitor and keep up with both little ones by myself, but with all the Momma's there...we all contained the children pretty well. We tried to stay in and around the kiddie pool as much as possible, but did manage to 'test the waters' in the big pool a bit. Jack and Rylee loved it! It was a perfect day for the pool and they both love the water. Rylee had fun standing at the edge of the baby pool and pouring water from the watering can into various cups. Jack enjoyed swimming around and was REALLY EXCITED to discover that he can touch in the shallow end of the big pool this year! Such a big boy. Rylee loves swimming around with me but is not such a big fan of her float this year. Maybe she'll warm up to it later. We also enjoyed a yummy picnic lunch at the pool cabana after swimming and then let the kids burn off some more energy on the playground before heading home for naptime!
We've been to the pool a few more times since this first visit (with Daddy, too!) and we have so enjoyed it! I just love summer and look forward to many more pool days!
Sweet kiddos playing together...

Jack loving the water

Rylee taking a break for a snack...how else do you think she'd maintain her girlish figure?

Floating in the big pool

Jack 'watering' the cement...I asked him why he wanted to do that and he said, 'If I water it, maybe it will grow!' :)
