I know it was a month ago-the honeymoon is over, gifts are unwrapped and thank you notes written...but I'm still going to blog about my little sister getting married so I have it documented and I don't forget how absolutely precious (and very well behaved, I might add) my children were and what a beautiful bride Sarah was!
We knew that the day would be a busy one and we knew we'd be pushing the kiddos to their limits by staying for the entire reception, but I really wanted to be there! So, we just prayed they'd nap well before the wedding and we'd hope for the best at the reception. We could not have asked for better children. Jack was the ring bearer and did a great job walking down the aisle with his pillow. He stood near me and stayed pretty still for a good part of the ceremony. After a little while, he did go sit down with MuMu and Poppa and then was able to recess out with us at the end. Rylee was in the church nursery during the ceremony. She wasn't too excited about me leaving her there, but she settled down quickly and did fine. The kids really had a blast at the reception. Jack was a little star and danced his heart out. He danced with me, MuMu, Say-Say, my cousin Emily, and with John. He loved the band and had some really good moves, too! :) Rylee liked the dancing too. She would walk out onto the dance floor (holding tight to her bunny) and just bounce and move to the music. It was precious. The rest of the evening Rylee could be found doing laps around Leaside. She would just run all around that place over and over again. Very cute, but also exhausting for whoever was following her. We didn't leave the reception till close to midnight and Rylee was asleep in the car before we got on the highway. Jack, of course, talked the whole way home trying to fight the sleep, but fell asleep quickly after hitting his pillow at home!
We had so much fun at the wedding and I really can't believe that my little sister is now married! We are so happy for Sarah and Anthony and are so glad to have Anthony as a part of our family! What fun memories...
