Jack and I were able to visit his school a few days before the start of Kindergarten to meet his teachers and check out his room. Jack enjoyed seeing all the neat stuff he would be getting to do in his classroom...and he liked seeing that the classroom was a lot like his preschool classroom! He was surprised to see very familiar center areas and I think he was excited about that. The kids were able to play with some of the toys and chat with the teachers...hopefully getting everybody comfortable and ready for the big first day. Jack is very excited about starting Kindergarten and is especially excited that 2 of his really good buddies are in his class. It should certainly make the fear of the unknown a little less scary since there will be so many familiar faces in class with him. I think Momma may have more trouble with that first day than he will! :)
