Sunday School Retreat

We have been blessed with the most awesome Sunday School class. We have developed some great friendships and they are all such a wonderful support for our family. A couple of weekends ago, our class went on a couples retreat to Litchfield Beach. It was a wonderful time of fun, fellowship, and Fireproof! (Trying to continue with the alliteration...) We did study the movie 'Fireproof' and had some great discussion of how to strengthen and support our marriages. I totally recommend that movie if you haven't seen it yet. It has a very powerful message and you will get a lot out of it! This was the first time that John and I had been away from the children for 2 nights since Jack was born. It was long overdue and we really enjoyed the time together...of course, we missed the kiddos too!

The children stayed with MuMu and Poppa and they, of course, had a great time. They had a big day on Saturday with Jack's soccer game, a trip to the park, a trip to the ice cream shop and the Dollar Store, and pizza for dinner. Jack even got to help MuMu make sugar cookies. Fun times! They went to church with MuMu and Poppa on Sunday morning and then they came back over here for lunch and naps. They were both asleep when we got home and when Jack woke up he wanted to know where MuMu was...so much for our great welcome home greeting. We got big hugs later, so it all worked out. Rylee was certainly excited to see us too!
Here are a few pictures of our weekend away and Jack and Rylee's weekend living high on the hog! :)

Getting ready for our morning session

The guys all loaded up in the Smith's truck to go down to the beach for a game of football...

The ladies watched...for a little while, but it was super cold!!

The Girls hanging out in the condo...

While the guys cooked Beaufort Stew outside...

Jack and Rylee had fun playing ON MuMu and Poppa's pool table

Playing at the neighborhood playground. Jack and Rylee love the slides!

Going out for Ice Cream...and a few games of Skee Ball! So much fun!
