Rylee's Mickey Mouse Birthday Party!

Ok, I know I'm slow, but I'm finally getting the pictures from Rylee's birthday party up on the blog!  We had a wonderful party with a few good friends and our family, too.  Rylee is obsessed with Mickey Mouse, so it seemed fitting to make that the theme of the party and (of course) we had to have just the right Mickey outfit for the occasion.  She loved it and MuMu even found a matching bow to top off the ensemble!  :)  We just had everyone over to our house for a low-key party.  The kids had fun playing and snacking a little bit, then we opened presents and finished up with some very yummy 'mickey cake'!  If anyone asked Rylee about her birthday for weeks afterwards, the first thing she told them about was her Mickey Cake- I think it was a hit!  Rylee received so many great gifts...and has already enjoyed using them!  Rylee had such a fun time at her party...she really got into opening the gifts.  She'd open one and see what it was and then quickly say, 'Open that' if it was in any type of packaging...she was ready to play right away!  :)  Definitely good practice for the present opening to come at Christmas!

Present time!  Rylee is always excited about new books!  Of course, getting a little help with the opening from big brother! :)

My parents gave Rylee her own little pillow and pillowcase.  Mom had already gotten a cute white pillowcase monogrammed for her present, but Rylee requested a 'pink pillow.'  So, Mom made her another pink pillowcase and as you can tell...Rylee was super excited about it.  She was ready to go night night right there!

Blowing out the candles...Rylee did it all by herself on the first try!  I almost missed the picture since she was so quick.  Of course, Jack wanted to 'help' anyways!

Rylee insisted on a piece of Mickey's ear!  I was a little unsure about the black icing...but she certainly enjoyed it!

Rylee and Jack's buddies, Cade and Carson, enjoy some yummy cake, too!  We were excited they were able to come all the way from Conway for the party!
