You are my sunshine...

Last week after a relatively short, but courageous battle with cancer John's Nanny went home to be with Jesus. She was one of the most dear, special people on this earth and we are all going to miss her greatly! John and I have been very blessed to have so many of our grandparents with us for so long and we are so happy that Nan-Nan got to know Jack. We wish she could've met Rylee, but we know she's watching over her from heaven now. Nanny lived to take care of the people she loved and she did it so well- she would do anything she could to help you. She also loved the Lord with all her heart and we find comfort in knowing that she is now with him and no longer suffering. She and Pappy were married for almost 60 years and still seemed as much in love as on their wedding day...we can all only hope to have that kind of love in our life!

I have so many memories of Nanny that I will always treasure...The way she could tape up a gift box so only the FBI could get into it, hearing her singing throughout the house when we were visiting, drinking hot tea in the evening with her, seeing her playing on the floor with Jack, and just sitting in the den chatting with her and Pappy! John is the youngest grandchild in his family and always had a very special relationship with Nan-Nan! He's been thinking about her a lot since her death and will miss her so much.

We love you Nanny!!!
