On New Year's weekend, me and the kids went down to Edisto to visit Mu-Mu and Poppa at their beach house. John stayed home and headed to the Carolina Panthers game with his Dad, his Brother and a friend. It was a quick visit and it was quite chilly, but we still had a good time. The kids had fun riding the golf cart down to the beach and running around on the beach a bit...until Momma was about to freeze and wanted to go back inside! :) Can't wait to head back down there when the weather is warmer and enjoy lots of time on the nice, quiet beach!!! We enjoyed a yummy dinner and a relaxing night watching a movie with Mu-Mu and Poppa. We headed back home after lunch on Sunday (hoping for naps in the car...which didn't really happen...lots of movie watching!!!) It was fun to get away for the night and to see the new place...now I'm ready for summer and family vacations!

We were down there at the same time! We stayed in a beachfront home near the end of the beach (close to where Sunset Grille used to be). Where is your parent's house? We grew up going to Edisto as my dad is from Hollywood and that's where they went growing up. Can't believe the connection!
