Jackisms...Part 2

Jack is still full of all kinds of funny expressions and sayings. He cracks us up all the time, so I thought I better record them before I forget them! Just a few of the recent funnies around our house...

~ If Jack wants one of us to come play with him, he'll first just ask us to play. If we say ok but don't immediately go over to whatever he's doing, he follows up with, 'Well, come on then!'. It's hilarious.

~ I mentioned on my last Jackisms post that Jack will call us 'grumpy' if we are disciplining him and are not happy with him. Well, now he's added a little more to that. If he knows we aren't really happy with him or he's recently gotten in trouble, he'll ask, 'Momma (or Daddy), are you happy, sad or grumpy?'

~ Jack is VERY into knock-knock jokes right now. He loves 'Little Bear' and started loving the jokes after an episode of the show that had one in it. He now makes knock-knock jokes about anything and everything. Some of them (well, a lot of them) don't make a lick of sense, but they all still get lots of laughs! :)

~ Jack LOVES to sing! He sings all the time. He sings all the theme songs for his favorite shows (most recent favorite is 'Rocket' AKA Little Einsteins). He also sings conversations, questions, etc. He even sings his 'God is Great' blessing and The Lord's Prayer at bedtime. It's hilarious! Guess it's a good thing he's old enough for choir at church this fall! :)

~ Jack loves to give surprises to us. He'll put something behind his back (a toy, book, stuffed animal, whatever) and say, 'Momma/Daddy, I have a 'prise for you!' He gets all excited and pulls it out from behind him.....With great excitement he announces, 'It's a ___!'

~ We are doing TONS of pretend play right now. For example, Jack loves the show 'The Little Einsteins' and lately we've been acting out scenes from the show. He'll say, 'Momma, you be Annie and I'll be Leo and we're gonna blast off to outer space.' So we have to pretend to ride in the rocket, pat our laps and blast off! We also pretend when playing with his matchbox cars. He'll say, 'Momma, let's talk like cars. You be the Swoop Coupe and I'll be the Road Rider' (his two current favorite cars). It's just so cute to see his little mind thinking of these little scenarios.

Of course, none of my posts would be complete without a few pictures...so here's a few new ones of our little wild man!

That's a lot of 'isms for a three year old. Where will it stop?
