A visit to Say-Say's!

We went to Greenville on Saturday morning to spend the weekend with Say-Say. She ran her first half marathon (13.1 miles- WOW!) that morning and we got there a little after she finished. We went out to lunch and then went back to her new place to hang out and try to get the kids to nap a little bit....they didn't! So, we packed up and headed over to an Apple Farm just a little ways away from where she lives. Of course, both kiddos fell asleep in the car, so at least they got little catnaps to hold them over! We had such a fun time at the apple farm! We picked a BUNCH of apples! I'm trying to find as many apple themed recipes as possible...if you have any, please send them my way. We also visited the pumpkin patch and saw some animals they had there. Jack enjoyed running around just playing too. We headed back to Greenville and had some yummy pizza at a place downtown called Barleys. Rylee was so tired by the time we got home, she went right to bed. We all watched a little of Jack's current favorite movie, 'The Polar Express', before he went to bed.

Jack and Rylee ready to get started picking apples

Getting a little boost from Daddy

Jack showing off his first apple!

Reaching for some apples way up high with the apple picker

Say-Say found a couple good apples!

Daddy and his sweet girl

Jack decided he wanted to test out the product...you know, just a little quality control...:)

He found just the right apple...

...and dug right in! YUM! (and yes, I did wash it off first...with a baby wipe...does that count?)

Showing me what was left...not much!

Daddy got a taste too...

Daddy and Jack making silly faces in the school bus!

Looking cute in the pumpkin patch...notice there is no pictures of the two of them together in the patch! Jack was in a 'no pictures' mode, so I went with what I could get!

Rylee and Say-Say

Me and My kiddos...

Say-Say has a really cool park right next to her apartment and it has an 18-hole minature golf course...so fun! We found it when we visited in August, and this time we brought John and Jack's putters so we could play! Jack loved it. He had a great time hitting the ball and getting it in the hole...we just need to work on the rules a little bit. He wasn't real big on waiting on everyone to have a turn. He just wanted to keep hitting! :) Rylee hung out in the stroller and watched the action while she ate a snack. As long as the girl has food, she's happy! We went to lunch after the golf game at Henry's Smokehouse- yummy bbq! Jack and Rylee love their Aunt Say-Say! We all had such a good time visiting with her and Anthony...can't wait to do it again!

A few pictures of our golf game...we didn't quite get through all 18 holes this time, but we had a lot of fun!

I know it's busy when you come up to visit just like when we come to Columbia but maybe we could all do lunch or dinner or something next time you are all up this way.
