~We took a second trip to the strawberry patch with our playgroup. The strawberries were super yummy and Jack did a great job helping to fill up the basket. Rylee, on the other hand, ate every one that she picked! I don't think she put any in the basket! We did a good job using all of our strawberries this year...we made: strawberry jam, strawberry pie, strawberry bread, and strawberry shortcake. We also ate tons of just plain strawberries- so good!
~We broke out the water table during the month of May as the afternoon temperatures kept creeping up! The kids have had a great time playing in the table and splashing around...and Momma and Daddy have enjoyed hanging out in the shade watching Jack and Rylee have a great time!
~We took a trip to the SC State Museum on a rainy Saturday. It was a great time and the kids had a blast. We actually only finished one floor of the museum during our 2+ hour visit....so we'll have to take another trip soon. Jack loved all the cool hands-on science stuff they had there...Like Father, Like Son! :)
-We planned a trip to the zoo with our playgroup for a Friday morning...but the zoo was crazy busy! Apparently every school district in SC had buses there for field trips...getting them all end before the end of the school year. A couple of our friends got there early and couldn't even get a parking place, so we went to plan B and headed to the park. The kids still had a great time playing and picnicing with their friends. Looking forward to lots more of that this summer!
Here are some (ok, probably a bunch!) of pictures from our spring activities...
Ready for picking strawberries...
