Three years ago today....

What a difference 3 years makes!!!

I can't believe our little boy is 3 years old today! It's funny how it seems like it was yesterday that he was born, but at the same time that day seems like forever ago! Jack is turning into such a big boy...definitely not a baby anymore. Jack is such a fun kid- he's becoming quite the Mr. independent and is always up for trying new things! He really enjoys helping John and I around the house. He will ask us 'What are you doing?' and then when we tell him, he always responds 'Can I help?' He LOVES playing outside...in the sandbox, on the swingset, playing t-ball or golf with Daddy! Jack is such a great big brother- he loves to go see Rylee first thing in the morning, he is always willing to help get something she needs and he's the best at making her laugh! He still loves going to school and enjoys displaying all of his artwork on our fridge! He has become quite the little artist this year. Jack is really looking forward to the summertime and can't wait till the pool opens!
We had a fun, busy birthday day today- Daddy took the day off! We started the day with a birthday breakfast of all Jack's favorite things: grits, bacon, cheese and toast! Then, we went to the doctor for Jack's 3 year old well checkup. Dr. Cope said Jack checked out perfectly- all 32 pounds of him! John asked Jack a few days ago what he wanted to do on his birthday...Jack said he wanted to see a big airplane. Our friend Nick works down at the airport and was so nice to let us come down there today so Jack could check out some planes. He loved it and said that the propellers were his favorite part of the plane! Thanks so much for helping us out with that birthday wish, Nick! We then went to Chick-Fil-A for a yummy birthday lunch topped off with a cup of Ice Dream! After naptime, we went for a quick trip to the zoo. Jack enjoyed seeing the elephants, zebras, giraffes, ostrichs, tortoises, monkey, alligator, and birds. We looked for the hippo, but he must've been underwater! :) Jack had fun riding the trolley to the zoo and riding on Daddy's shoulders. We stopped by our neighborhood playground on the way home and Jack had fun sliding and running around before dinner! Jack got a sleeping bag from Uncle Andy and Aunt Cindi for his birthday, so tonight he wanted to watch one of his shows while laying in the sleeping bag. So cute! A great ending to a great day!
