Strawberry Fields Forever...

Yesterday, we made a trip to pick strawberries with some friends. Jack, Emily and Hodges had a great time picking the strawberries and filling up their baskets. There had been a threat of frost the night before, but the strawberries look wonderful and taste delicious! Jack even managed to sneak a taste of one of the strawberries right after it had been picked...nothing like fresh off the vine! :) We have enjoyed eating sliced strawberries already and plan to make some strawberry shortcake and some strawberry jam as well. Hopefully all turns out very yummy! A few pictures...

Filling up the basket-we had been instructed by Charles (one of the workers at the farm) to only pick the red ones (of course), so Jack kept pointing out the green ones and telling me not to pick them! Then, when I'd pick a red one, he'd say 'Good job, Momma. You picked a good one!' Too cute!

Checking out the strawberries...

Jack and Hodges had a lot of fun running up and down the rows of strawberries...boys will be boys!

The BIG, HUGE Tractor that Jack thought was so cool!

Rylee is such a good baby-she just hangs out in the Bjorn and never complains! Here, her eyes are closed- I think the sun was getting her!
